Overview for the Final Tournamnet
The 1st round, 2nd round, and final round will be held.
1st round
- - For the 1st round, the 32 participants will be separated into eight blocks with four players each.
- - There will be four songs in this round. The players with the highest total score in each block will advance to the 2nd round.
- - The songs in this round will be the four songs that were submitted by the participants in advance. As such, each block will have a different song list.
- - There will be two active units. Four players will play at the same time.
- - Which block you enter, which active unit you use, and which side you play on (1P or 2P) will all be determined through a draw done beforehand.
- - If there is a tie for first place within a block, the players will participate in a tie-break with a specially prepared song.
2nd round
- - In the 2nd round, the eight players who qualified will play two songs. The four players with the highest total scores will advance to the semifinals.
- - The songs will be chosen by the Taiko no Tatsujin team and announced on the day of the tournament.
- - One active unit will be used during this round. Two players will play at the same time.
- - The playing order and playing side (1P or 2P) will be determined through a draw.
- - If there is a tie for any of the top four scores, the players will participate in a tie-break with a specially prepared song.
Semifinals
- - The matches in the semifinals will be based on the score from the 2nd round. The first match will be between 1st place and 4th place, and the second match will be between 2nd place and 3rd place.
- - The songs will be chosen by the Taiko no Tatsujin team and announced on the day of the tournament. The matches will feature different songs.
- - One player will play at a time. The player with the lower ranking will play first.
- - The player with the higher score will advance to the championship, while the player with the lower score will participate in the third-place playoffs.
- - If there is a tie, the players will participate in a tie-break with a specially prepared song.
Third-Place Playoffs
- - One active unit will be used during this match. The two players will play at the same time.
- - The songs will be chosen by the Taiko no Tatsujin team and announced on the day of the tournament.
- - The player with the higher score will be awarded third place.
Championship
- - One active unit will be used during this match, and each plays one song.
- - The playing order will be determined through a draw.
- - The songs will be chosen by the Taiko no Tatsujin team and announced on the day of the tournament.
- - The player with the higher score will become the champion of this tournament.
