Q1: Can I use Official My Bachi?

A1: Yes. For this tournament, players may use the drumsticks attached to the arcade game cabinet, Taiko no Tatsujin Official My Bachi sold from 2016 onward, or Taiko no Tatsujin Official My Bachi sold from 2021 onward. However, My Bachi which have been modified subsequent to purchase may not be used.

Tournament Play Checklist

  1. ①Are the official wrist-straps attached?
  2. ②Are sticks branded with the Taiko no Tatsujin logo?
  3. ③Is tape properly applied to the grips?
    • *Tape must not cover the logo.
    • *Tape must not be applied anywhere between the logo and the tip.
    • *My Bachi may not be used without tape applied to the grip.
  4. ④Have you confirmed there are no significant changes to the drumsticks' shape?
  5. ⑤Are the wooden bodies of the drumsticks unaltered
    (no modifications made)?
    Example modifications: Writing your name,
    applying stickers, varnish, or paint, etc.
    • *Name may be written on grip tape or wrist-straps.

My Bachi will not be approved for tournament play unless all of the above conditions are met.
In addition to the above, tournament organizers may prohibit the use of any drumsticks they judge to be unsafe.
In that event, please use the drumsticks attached to the game cabinet.

Q2： Is there an age restriction?

No. Anyone registered as a Donder Hiroba member may participate in this tournament.

Q3：Can I participate in the tournament at any time?

You may participate at any time while the tournament is in progress.

Q4：What should I do if I lose my Bandai Namco Passport (or other Amusement IC Card)?

Please purchase a new Bandai Namco Passport (or other Amusement IC Card) from a participating arcade and visit the official Bandai Namco Passport website to transfer your data to the new card.

Q5：Can I enter the tournament using multiple Bandai Namco Passports (or other Amusement IC Cards)?

No, you cannot.
We ask that each participant use only one Bandai Namco Passport to play Taiko no Tatsujin during the tournament period.
Lending or transferring your Bandai Namco Passport (or other Amusement IC Card) to another person is also prohibited.

Q6：Was Taiko no Tatsujin Donder! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2021 canceled?

It has been postponed.
We are considering holding the event in 2023, if we feel we can do so in a socially responsible fashion.
