However, this coincides with the births of people called "Infected" across the globe. The Infected possess great power, but they are also persecuted because of their potential to spread their disease to others, causing them to be feared and hated.In response to harsh treatment, a group of Infected who refuse to accept their lot in life declare rebellion with the goal of bringing about new world order. Among the chaos, a medical facility called Rhodes Island was established to resolve all of the issues caused by the Infected.You are the Doctor, the intellect behind Rhodes Island, and when you awaken, the world takes a huge step forward.
